The Finnish Fair Foundation
The Finnish Fair Foundation operates in conjunction with the Finnish Fair Corporation and aims to promote Finnish trade and industry, as well as Finnish business life in general. The foundation aims to support manufacturing in Finland by promoting it both in Finland and abroad.
Every year, the Finnish Fair Foundation awards scholarships, grants, rewards, and commendations worth approximately €400,000 in total. The most famous awards are the Kaj Franck Design Prize and the Internationalisation Award of the President of the Republic. Prizes announced at fairs and exhibitions include the Young Designer of the Year Award and the Habitare Design Award.
The property and affairs of the foundation are governed by the Board of Trustees, who also make decisions on grants awarded. The Board of Trustees consists of 12 members, who represent a broad spectrum of Finnish business life.
