Fairs are the 6th largest marketing channel
The Finnish Advertising Council, representing advertising associations, has commissioned a survey from TSN Gallup. According to this survey, in 2008 EUR 3,570 million was spent on marketing communications in Finland. Fairs were the 6th largest marketing channel.
Fair auditing
Why are fair audits performed?
The figures for all fairs, exhibitions and events organised by the Finnish Fair Corporation are audited and approved by the fair auditing department of the Finnish Audit Bureau of Circulations.
Fair audits provide impartial and reliable information on fairs’ visitor numbers, as well as on other matters of interest to exhibitors, fair visitors and event organisers. Fair audits enable an objective evaluation of various types of fairs as marketing tools.
Audits verify
• Fair visitor numbers
• Numbers of direct and indirect exhibitors
• Amount of indoor and outdoor exhibition space
• Other information of interest to other fair organisers, exhibitors, advertising agencies, fair visitors, and the public
The Finnish Fair Corporation releases media cards on all of its events; these cards include audited key figures on exhibitions. You will find media cards at event's website. View event calendar >>
Publication and use of this information
The Finnish Audit Bureau of Circulations posts statistics on the fairs it has audited on its website. These figures are available to all interested parties.
